Andy Hornby

Group Chief Executive
Andy Hornby was appointed as Group Chief Executive of Alliance Boots in July 2009.  Previously he was Chief Executive of HBOS up until its takeover by Lloyds TSB Group, having led the retail divisions of Halifax and then HBOS.  Prior to this Andy held a number of senior general management roles at Asda, including Managing Director of George, its clothing business.  Andy worked for Boston Consulting Group and Blue Circle and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
