Alphega Pharmacy Membership Exceeds 1,000
Alliance Boots is pleased to announce that Alphega Pharmacy, the virtual pharmacy network of its Pharmaceutical Wholesale Division (Alliance Healthcare), has increased its membership to more than 1,000 members across many European countries following a recent recruitment campaign.
Alphega Pharmacy is a leading network of independent pharmacists in Europe. Members retain their independence while enjoying the full support of the Alliance Healthcare businesses in their countries. Its central aim is to help improve the quality of health in communities across Europe by developing a benchmark independent community pharmacy model. Membership encompasses a range of added-value services including branding, professional training and patient care, retail support services, supply benefits and pharmacy support.
The network has already been launched in France (2001), Italy (2003), Spain (2006) and more recently in the UK and Czech Republic. There are plans to launch the Alphega Pharmacy concept in other markets.
